Palliative care is given gently and with great respect, so that your loved one is kept comfortable and surrounded by familiar faces, in the calm of a home they know. We believe that high-quality end-of-life care is not just about clinical management; it is about honouring a person's life, fulfilling their wishes, and wrapping their entire family in a blanket of emotional and spiritual support. You do not have to walk this path alone. Our specialised team is here to guide you every step of the way.

Our palliative care philosophy

Our approach to palliative care is holistic, focusing on the physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of the resident. We work in close partnership with residents, families, general practitioners and specialised palliative care networks to ensure a peaceful and dignified experience.

• Advanced pain and symptom management. Our highly trained registered nurses provide expert, around-the-clock care for managing pain, alleviating physical discomfort and easing breathlessness or anxiety swiftly and effectively.
• Respecting advanced care directives. We strictly honour the choices, values and cultural or spiritual traditions outlined in each resident's advanced care plan, ensuring their wishes dictate every aspect of their care.
• A calm and serene environment. We prioritise creating a tranquil atmosphere, attending to the little things that bring comfort.
• Holistic emotional and spiritual support. Our care extends beyond medical needs. We provide holistic support that respects all backgrounds, faiths and personal philosophies, helping residents and families find peace and closure.

Comfort first

Our team works to ease pain and distress and to honour each person's wishes, with a registered nurse on site around the clock. Because we are small, care can be unhurried and deeply personal, attending to the little things that bring comfort.

Supporting families through the journey

You are part of our family. During this sensitive time, we view our home as an extension of your own living room. We ensure that families face no restrictions on visiting hours, allowing you to spend as much precious time with your loved one as you need.

Our tireless devotion to your loved ones provides constant care, refreshments and a quiet space for families to rest, reflect, or stay overnight if they wish to remain by their loved one's side. These are precious days, and we want families to be able to share them. Visitors are welcome, and we do everything we can to make space for loved ones to be close, for as long as they wish to be.

Guidance and open communication. Discussing end-of-life care is incredibly difficult, but planning ahead ensures that your loved one's final journey aligns perfectly with their wishes. Our Care Manager and Facility Manager maintain absolute open-door policy. We are here to sit down with you, answer your questions with absolute transparency and gentleness, and ensure that your family receives the support and privacy you deserve.
